Suburb profile
McGraths Hill is a well-connected mid-sized suburb in Hawkesbury with everyday amenities close at hand. Well placed between the city and outer suburbs, it offers practical access in every direction. Families and commuters make up much of the community, with plenty of young families in the mix.
Everyday errands and local outings are straightforward, with the wider metro area adding variety. There is enough green space nearby for walks, picnics and after-school play. Buses and trains connect the area to surrounding suburbs, keeping the wider city within easy reach.
Housing carries a premium, but residents tend to feel the lifestyle justifies the commitment. Infill and new builds are slowly updating the area without overwhelming its existing character.
The desirability score is around average, weighed down by weaker growth momentum and local dining and lifestyle amenities against similar metro suburbs, even with housing affordability and community and employment holding up better. Limited access to some essential local services also trimmed the result.
