Suburb profile
Toukley is a coastal mid-sized suburb where beach life and relaxed outdoor living shape the local character. Sea and sand are the main draw, with neighbouring coastal communities easy to explore on a free afternoon. There is a lightness to the air here, with the coast never far from mind.
Established families and long-term residents give the suburb a settled feel, with a strong presence of young families throughout. Parks, reserves and open space make it genuinely outdoor-friendly for walks, sport and weekend downtime. Strong public transport connections keep the wider area accessible.
Housing remains accessible compared with many parts of the state. Active development is adding new homes and refreshed pockets throughout the suburb.
The desirability score is around average, weighed down by weaker community and employment and schools and education against similar coastal suburbs, even with growth momentum and housing affordability holding up better. Limited access to some essential local services also trimmed the result.
