What Millers Forest is known for: Green suburb, High desirability

Suburb profile

In Maitland, Millers Forest is a settled smaller community with a familiar suburban feel and good links to the wider city. You get space and calm here, while the city and neighbouring suburbs are still close enough for regular outings. Established families and long-term residents give the suburb a settled feel, with plenty of young families in the mix.

Local shops and services cover the basics well, with more choice a short trip into neighbouring suburbs. There is enough green space nearby for walks, picnics and after-school play. Transport options are solid enough for daily errands and regular trips further afield.

Housing carries a premium, but residents tend to feel the lifestyle justifies the commitment. Active development is adding new homes and refreshed pockets throughout the suburb.

The desirability score is below average, pulled down chiefly by weaker local dining and lifestyle amenities and transport and access relative to similar metro suburbs. Limited access to some essential local services also trimmed the result.
